Korrie Sparks, OTD, OTR/L

Korrie Sparks

OTD, OTR/L · Founder

As a doctor of occupational therapy, Korrie helps children feel confident, grounded, and at home in their bodies — drawing on Ayres Sensory Integration® and mindfulness-based techniques to support nervous system organization for higher-level skills: attention, emotional regulation, and motor planning.

Korrie is also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), trained in DIRFloortime® play therapy, the Zones of Regulation, the Alert Program®, Social Thinking curriculum, and CranialSacral Therapy (Upledger CST1). She completed Forest School Teacher Training in Scotland, UK, and holds her doctorate from USC (2013), where her doctoral work included developing a school-based mindfulness program for over 100 kindergarteners.

Before opening Sparks OT's Boulder clinic in 2023, Korrie worked in private practice, school districts, and pediatric rehabilitation across Southern California. She is a first-generation student of Dr. A. Jean Ayres through her close mentor, Dr. Susanne Smith Roley.

Outside the clinic, Korrie loves adventures in nature, cooking, dancing, and walking through Boulder with her miniature dachshund, Darcy.

Julia Colton, MSOT, OTR/L

Julia Colton

MSOT, OTR/L

Julia brings a specialization in sensory integration and neurodiversity to her work with children. She holds a BA from Pomona College and an MS in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, and completed 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 — along with further training in teaching yoga and mindfulness to kids.

With broad clinical experience across preschool settings, pediatric home health, and an Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) autism clinic, Julia works extensively with children navigating autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other developmental challenges. Her approach combines traditional OT techniques with mindfulness, yoga, and sensory integration strategies.

Julia's graduate research focused on school-based yoga programs, sparking a lasting interest in integrating mindfulness, art, and nature into therapy sessions.

When she's not in the clinic, Julia is likely paddle boarding, making things out of clay, or hiking with her labradoodle, Mochi.

Anna Kopatich, OTR/L

Anna Kopatich

OTR/L

Anna is a licensed occupational therapist who graduated from Colorado State University with degrees in Human Development & Family Studies and Occupational Therapy. She brings three years of experience in outpatient pediatric and home health settings, plus formative time at a community-based summer camp for neurodivergent kids and an early childhood learning center.

Anna is passionate about partnering with parents to carry skills from the clinic into daily home life. She uses a DIR Floortime approach to facilitate learning through child-directed, intrinsically motivating play — and is a champion for celebrating neurodiversity and individual strengths as a foundation for quality of life.

Off the clock, you'll find Anna playing board games, singing in her family's band, participating in inclusive theater programs, or hunting for treasures at the thrift store.

Devin Hardy, Clinic Operations Manager

Devin Hardy

Clinic Operations Manager

Devin brings a wonderfully eclectic background to her role keeping the clinic running smoothly. She graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in Environmental Science and Studio Art, and has since worked as a high school teacher, a fine arts professional, a filmmaker, a marine researcher, and an entrepreneur.

She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University — a path that fits perfectly with Sparks OT's whole-child philosophy.

In her spare time, Devin reads, makes art, snowboards, hikes, runs, tends to her vegetable garden, and experiments with bread baking.

Darcy, therapy dog and miniature dachshund

Darcy

Chief Therapy Dog

Darcy is a miniature dachshund and the clinic's most popular staff member. Research consistently shows that therapy animals help reduce anxiety, encourage engagement, and make the hard work of therapy feel like play — and Darcy takes that job very seriously.

She is an expert in snuggling, lap-sitting, and making children feel immediately at ease. She has zero formal credentials but boundless enthusiasm.
